Puerto Rico Lunch | On Sunday, our Fellowship Hall was filled as we heard about the adventures and experiences of our mission team in Puerto Rico. While it was inspiring to learn about the work they accomplished, what surprised me most was hearing about the lasting impact that even a short-term mission trip can have—not only on the people being served, but also on the long-term missionaries who faithfully minister there year after year.
I came away with a renewed appreciation that even one week of serving can make an eternal difference. Every act of kindness, every conversation, every helping hand becomes part of God's ongoing work in the lives of others.
Jesus reminded His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest." (Luke 10:2)
May we continue to pray for those whom God calls into His harvest, and may we remain open to how He might use each of us—whether for a week, a season, or a lifetime—to share His love with others.
