Meet Sunblessed Farm at This Saturday's Farmers Market | We are excited to welcome new farmers! Sunblessed Farm is run by Mooywa and Shesho, and is part of Chapel Hill's Transplanting Traditions Community Farm. As a Karen refugee farmer, Mooywa brings heritage farming methods from Burma to North Carolina, providing fresh, meaningful food. See Sunblessed Farm and ten other farmers and vendors at the market this Saturday, May 9, from 1pm-4pm! Click here for more information.

Picnic in the Park: May Intentional Invite

Puerto Rico Mission Volunteers | Last Sunday, we recognized and offered a special sending prayer for our short-term volunteers, who will travel to Puerto Rico May 9-16: Dan, Beverly, Sharon, and Anna. During their trip, they will assist local LCMS missionaries with repairs and maintenance, support local ministries and mission activities, and build relationships both with our missionaries and with the people they serve.

We invite you to keep them in your prayers in the days ahead and stay tuned as they provide updates of their trip!

-Discipleship-

Living Out the Journey of Discipleship-Side by Side

God Causes His Disciples to Grow, We Do Not

In 1 Corinthians 3:6, Paul tells us that God makes seed grow and verse 7. Says “only God” makes things grow. In this context Paul is referring to those who have come to faith in Christ. God alone has the power and authority to grow His field and build His building. We should be careful not to believe that we are the ones who cause others to grow.
