Learn How to Protect Yourself from Scams Next Wednesday, August 27 |  Join us for a special Wednesdays at One gathering with a potluck lunch at 12pm, followed by an important presentation at 1pm.

Sarah Welsch, Outreach Specialist with the NC Department of Justice Attorney General’s Office, will share valuable information on scams that target people through phone calls, texts, and online messages. She’ll also provide practical tips for protecting your personal and financial information and connect you with resources from the Consumer Protection Division.

This is information that could truly make a difference for you and those you love. We encourage everyone to attend—and to please RSVP so we know you’ll be there! Bring a dish to share and take away tools to stay safe and informed. Click here to RSVP.

Town Hall Meeting August 31 |  Join the Grace Advisory Board for a Town Hall Meeting on Sunday, August 31, immediately following worship in the Fellowship Hall. This is an exciting time where we will brainstorm ideas for ministry opportunities, utilization of the Grace House, and plans for the remaining Capital Campaign funds. Your input is vital for shaping our church's future!

Do You Recognize This Kitchen? | Huge thanks to our kitchen crew—Chris Wethman, Donna Gesell, Kathy Peterson and Dede Crosmer—who spent their time cleaning, organizing, and refreshing the church kitchen. Cabinets are tidy, utensils are organized, and everything is ready for fellowship, potlucks, and ministry. We’re grateful for your care and the hospitality it makes possible!

Duke Lutherans Sunday Night Dinners |  Thank you so much to everyone who has fed our beloved Duke Lutherans through the years. New sign-up slots are now available for the fall semester- click here to help provide dinner for 15–20 Duke Lutheran students this semester. You bring the food (including one vegetarian main); we supply everything else. Arrive at 5:15pm for set-up, Evening Prayer is at 5:30pm, and dinner follows at 6:30pm. Questions? Contact Pastor Amanda at 612-418-4192 or amanda.highben@duke.edu.

Save the Date: “Praying the Themes of the Lord’s Prayer” |

On Saturday, October 4, from 8:30am-noon, Jordan Lutheran in Apex will host a seminar on “Praying the Themes of the Lord’s Prayer.” Pastor Larry Eckart will lead this seminar. Using the Lord’s Prayer as the foundation, this seminar will add meditation on Scripture as an important part of personal prayer. Such meditation on Scripture allows the Holy Spirit to reconstruct our attitudes, priorities and motivations so that we experience the peace that we so often seek in other ways and encounter the world with “Gospel eyes.” Email Pastor Larry if you plan to attend: larryeckart54@gmail.com.
