High Holy Days 5785 Appeal | | |
|
We're excited to share a wonderful update on our High Holy Day Appeal. Your generosity has truly shined! To date, we’ve received an amazing $46,612 in pledges, with $31,539 already paid!!! Because of your commitment, we're thrilled to announce that we’ve fully utilized our initial $30,000 of matching funds! That means every dollar you’ve paid so far has been doubled—how incredible is that?!
But wait, there’s more! This week we received a commitment for an additional $15,000 in matching funds, bringing the total match to $45,000 with an extended deadline! That means every pledge you pay by November 8th will continue to be matched dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $45,000. What a fantastic opportunity to make an even bigger impact for our community!
Right now, about 50% of our members have pledged (with over 33% already fulfilling their pledge). Our goal is to reach 100% participation. Every pledge counts—whether big or small, whether you can fulfill it now or after the match deadline. What matters most is being part of this communal effort.
Let’s keep the momentum going and work together to reach this next milestone! Thank you for all you do to keep Temple Emanuel thriving!
Together, we can make 5785 a year to remember!
Arnold Bedak - President
Brandon Bagley - VP of Finance

Our Temple would not be the vibrant community it is without the efforts of our volunteers ... too numerous to mention all at once.
In this week's edition, let's thank:
Our Simchat Torah and Consecration Shabbat volunteers, who handed out flags, helped the young children, carried, unrolled, and rerolled Torah scrolls, sponsored our Grab-N-Go Oneg Shabbat, and in so many ways contributed to the joyous dancing and singing on this special night!
Linda Gluck-Rapp, one of our front desk volunteers, who cleaned up our social hall kitchen after a very full weekend of Sukkot activities.
Sid Plait for organizing the MOE Café Emanuel stock in our kitchen - it's a big job!
Bill LeGrand for (re)building the MOE website (and a very belated thanks to Brandon Bagley for its iteration this winter!), and for developing our upcoming Temple Emanuel Business Directory on the website.
Our Sukkah builders and de-constructers!
Watch this space for more honorees, and be sure to let us know if we have missed a mitzvah!

Our Temple Emanuel Oneg Shabbat dessert receptions are opportunities for our community to come together and enjoy the sweetness of Shabbat with conversation and refreshments every Friday after services.
We invite you to sponsor an Oneg Shabbat in honor of your family and friends. Gather your friends, Chavurot, social groups, committees, clubs, or family to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, weddings, graduations, new babies, a loved one’s accomplishments, or any happy occasion - or just to celebrate being alive!
It is a wonderful way to celebrate any special occasion with your Temple Emanuel community!
