Rabbi's Reminders

Hurricane Relief Efforts-

A message from Rabbi Jonathan.

Please help the American Red Cross -- or any other relief organization of your choice -- address the devastation from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Whether or not we have friends and acquaintances in those affected areas, we can help by our largess. Thank you.

Yom Kippur Collection for JFCS

Temple Emanuel's Annual Yom Kippur Drive to benefit Jewish Family and Children's Service (JFCS) is (still) collecting, to fill a different need this year.

Jewish Family & Children's Service (JFCS) was fortunate to receive a grant for non-perishable food this year, so they are instead asking for donations of personal hygiene items and cleaning supplies. Click the blue links to see lists and directions.

Thank you for all of the donations you brought to us yesterday. What a beautiful outpouring of support!

We will be gathering items throughout October at the Temple.

In this week's edition, let's thank:

Volunteer Opportunities

Host an Oneg Shabbat!

Our Temple Emanuel Oneg Shabbat dessert receptions are opportunities for our community to come together and enjoy the sweetness of Shabbat with conversation and refreshments every Friday after services.

We invite you to sponsor an Oneg Shabbat in honor of your family and friends. Gather your friends, Chavurot, social groups, committees, clubs, or family to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, weddings, graduations, new babies, a loved one’s accomplishments, or any happy occasion - or just to celebrate being alive!

It is a wonderful way to celebrate any special occasion with your Temple Emanuel community!
