Mott Eats - Home Delivery!

Mott Eats has a new schedule for organizing and delivering food to our students.

REPLENISHING THE PANTRY: Volunteers will accept donations, sort, box and organize donations, on the Horrigan Drive side of MMB:
*Deliver student supplies (Chromebooks/class supplies) as needed

DELIVERY: Volunteers will deliver food boxes with two weeks worth of food and supplies to students:
* May 26 and 27 (Tues. and Wed.) 9AM-3PM

The goal is to prepare food boxes that have enough food for two weeks and on alternate week deliver the boxes. During the REPLENISHING weeks Mott Eats will be accepting food donations and ordering food from the food bank. Our goal is to ensure that we can get food to students on a timely basis and also not over tax our volunteer drivers

AARP Foundation Food Assistance Helpline

The AARP Foundation Food Assistance Helpline provides emergency food supplies to participants and volunteers of AARP Foundation programs who urgently need food assistance. These  Emergency Food Boxes are part of an initiative that may eventually also include over-the-phone grocery ordering and delivery support for older adults affected by the coronavirus pandemic and its restrictions.

Call Center representatives are ready to connect seniors and offer a box of emergency food supplies, delivered to their residence at no charge . The box contains enough non-perishable food for a couple of weeks of meals with items such as Italian veggie pasta, red lentil jambalaya, chicken noodle soup, and brown sugar oatmeal. Together.
Shaping the Future.

Nelson Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, politician and philanthropist who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. His famous quotations, such as this one, are legendary.

"There is no passion to be found playing small - in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living."

This makes total sense to me as I look at my life today. Why be and do less than we can be and do when we only have one shot at this life? With each day that passes we can 'go for it' or run from it. What will you do?

Are you ready for more?
