Blast from the Past

Ann Spindler (R) was housekeeper
for the church
Ann Spindler was named on Fr. Daleiden's WWII draft registration card as the person who would know where he lived.
Father Daleiden served as pastor of St. Peter Church from 1933-1960, a time of great turmoil and change. Times were hard during the Great Depression, when the church income dropped by half and expenses were drastically slashed. It wasn't until after World War II that the parish income recovered and saw great growth. He oversaw the remodeling of the church and expansion to include an attached school in 1948.
