Welcome to Evergreen Valley College!


We are very grateful that you have chosen EVC to take classes this summer. We are committed to making sure your experience is impactful, and you will see we have implemented many measures and precautions to keep you safe.


We are here to support you in and out of the classroom with many resources, from health and overall wellness support, free groceries, support services, and more. 


Our goal is to enable your success and provide you with the essential information you need.


We will be in regular communication with you throughout the summer to provide updates on events, activities, resources, and ongoing information.


I hope to see you on campus and that you'll make connections that count with students, staff, and faculty.

» Important Information For You To Know

CAMPUS HOURS

  • Beginning June 22, the EVC campus will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00AM - 5:00PM and Saturday from 8:00AM - 2:00PM. The campus is closed on Sunday.


PARKING

  • All student parking for summer is free! However, please make sure you park in the student lots. Take a look at the campus map to identify all of the student parking lots: Student Lots 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, and 9. 


BOOKSTORE HOURS

  • Monday through Thursday: 10:00AM - 3:00PM
  • Friday: 9:00AM - 1:00PM


LIBRARY HOURS

  • From 6/6-7/28: Monday through Thursday from 9:00AM - 4:00PM (closed Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays)
  • From 8/2-8/10: Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00AM - 2:00PM


FOOD ON CAMPUS

  • Vending machines are operating 24/7 located in Gullo 1 outside the cafeteria and are stocked weekly with grab and go options. 


LAPTOP/ HOTSPOT LOANER EQUIPMENT

  • Loaner laptops and hotspots are available for students enrolled in summer classes. You can submit your request by clicking here. Once the request is approved, you will receive a confirmation email with equipment pickup times and location.


FREE CAMPUS WI-FI

  • EVC offers free wi-fi on campus. Please note that you will need to provide a username and password to connect to the campus wireless network. Alternatively, you can register for guest access to the EVC wireless network.

IMPORTANT SAFETY UPDATE

Upon close review of local, state, and national guidelines and best practices and in consultation with District and College leadership, Evergreen Valley College is eliminating our indoor mask mandate effective Tuesday, June 21. This applies to all individuals on our campus regardless of vaccination status.


While this change puts us in alignment with the Santa Clara County Department of Public Health guidelines for indoor masking in educational settings, we still strongly recommends that you continue to wear a mask indoors. We will also continue to make masks available at kiosks near building entrances throughout our campus.



» Self Service Tips

Please note that the MyWeb system is no longer available and has been replaced by the Self Service application. Self Service has an enhanced design and easily adapts to your mobile devices. It also offers additional functionality such as entering a “preferred or chosen name” and planning your coursework for multiple semesters.


You may login to Self-Service by going to https://sso.sjeccd.edu and clicking on the "Self-Service" icon. You can also click on the Self Service icon on the EVC website (photo on the left).

» Sign Up For Virtual And In Person Financial Aid Orientations

The Financial Aid Office is hosting virtual and in-person orientations throughout the summer for any student who wants to learn about the different types of financial aid available, and the process to receiving funds at EVC.

» We Have Resources Available for You

EVC F.R.E.S.H MARKET

The Evergreen Valley College F.R.E.S.H (Food, Resources, and Education to Stop Hunger) Market was established to provide immediate food needs of EVC students by providing a variety of non-perishable food items. The F.R.E.S.H Market provides grab-and-go options (granola bars, microwavable soups and noodles, etc.) and other options ( boxed cereal, canned goods, etc.) that may require students to prepare. A limited number of grocery gift cards are available, while items last. The market is maintained in partnership with the Office of Student Life, the Associated Student Government, Second Harvest Food Bank, and New Seasons Market.


How To Access The F.R.E.S.H Market

Students must be enrolled in at least 1 credit to be eligible to receive items from the F.R.E.S.H Market. The F.R.E.S.H Market is located on the first floor of the Gullo I Student Center in Room 114 directly near the ATM machines.

 

Hours of Operation:

Monday-Thursday: 12:00pm-4:00pm (summer hours varies)

Fridays by appointment only

CAMPUS SHOWERS

EVC offers access to campus showers for any student that wants or needs it. Showers are offered Monday-Thursday from 8:00AM - 4:00PM and Fridays from 8:00AM - 12:00PM inside of the PE Building. If needed, you may pick up essential item such as soap, towels, and shampoo from the EVC C.A.R.E Closet located inside of Gullo I-106.


In order to access the showers students need to be currently be enrolled in coursework, have paid their enrollment fees, fully vaccinated and verified through the EVC MyHealth portal or have an approved COVID-19 vaccination exemption.

The Student Health and Wellness Department offers both Health Services (medical) and Wellness Services (mental health). Our goal is to promote health as a means for students to achieve their personal, academic and professional goals. All services are confidential.

DISABILITIES SUPPORT PPROGRAM (DSP)

The mission of the Disabilities Support Program (DSP) is to enable a diverse population of students with a broad spectrum of disabilities to participate in and access all aspects of the college community.


The Disabilities Support Program is committed to accessibility for all students, and ensuring that EVC DSP students are fully integrated, productive and assertive participants in their own educational process.

VETERANS FREEDOM CENTER (VFC)

EVC's Veterans Freedom Center is proud to provide a supportive learning environment where our veteran students focus on academic success and guidance to achieve their academic goals while also providing a community of support to fellow Veteran peers and a welcoming space. 


Evergreen Valley College welcomes all military connected students and dependents to utilize the services of the VFC.

Friday from 8:30AM - 1:00PM

Computer Lab and Student Lounge are open
