FUNDING OPPORTUNITY
We are delighted to announce a funding opportunity from the Alberta Healthy School Community Wellness Fund (AHSCWF) available to Alberta's public, private and francophone school divisions, as well as to First Nations School Authorities.

The Alberta Healthy School Community Wellness Fund promotes the advancement of sustainable, healthy school communities across the province by providing facilitated support and funding. This approach enhances health and wellness among school-aged children and youth using a Comprehensive School Health (CSH) framework.

Canada’s Joint Consortium for School Health (JCSH) states, “CSH is an internationally recognized framework for supporting improvements in students’ educational outcomes while addressing school wellness in a planned, integrated and holistic way. It is not just about what happens in the classroom. Rather, it encompasses the whole school environment with actions addressing four distinct but interrelated components that provide a strong foundation for a healthy school community” (JCSH, 2008). For more information about CSH please visit https://www.jcsh-cces.ca/.

Please note the deadline to apply is November 1, 2019.

Please review the Guidelines and Procedures for Applicants prior to completing a Request for Funding.
