Love for Enemies

Jesus said, "I say to you that listen, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. Give to everyone who begs from you; and if anyone takes away your goods, do not ask for them again. Do to others as you would have them do to you. Luke 6:27-30

Children's Chapel meets in the Parish Hall at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Using simpler language, children worship in a similar format as the Service of Holy Eucharist: Confession & Absolution, the Invitatory, the Psalter, Song of Praise, A Lesson (their “sermon”), the Creed, Prayers for Ourselves & Others, the Lord’s Prayer and Collect. They join their families in the sanctuary for the Holy Eucharist.

The lesson portion focuses on the Jesus parables. We alternate between:

  • Godly Play which engages children with our sacred stories
  • Learning to Use My Bible which gives children practice finding and reading the parable in the Bible, and responding through puppetry or skits.

Schedule: Church School is offered on the first three Sundays of each month so join us tomorrow, Feb. 20; on 4th and 5th Sundays children worship with their families.
