Let's dive into the latest in New Zealand immigration.
New Zealand is increasingly attracting international students who aspire to study abroad. The number of applications for New Zealand Student Visas is approaching 60% of pre-Covid levels, and enrollment in Universities and Te Pukenga is on the rise. For the top 10 reasons to study in New Zealand, check out the blog included in this newsletter.
With 8 prestigious universities offering globally recognized degrees in various fields, New Zealand is an excellent choice for international students. Popular programs include Business Management, Engineering, Health Sciences, Information Technology, Agriculture & Forestry, and Hospitality & Tourism. Many universities also offer attractive scholarships to ease the financial burden.
In addition, New Zealand offers a fantastic study-work balance. Most international students are allowed to work part-time during the academic year and full-time during holidays. This allows students to support themselves financially and gain valuable international work experience.
An additional reason to choose New Zealand for studying abroad is that a Master's degree can put you on a skilled residence pathway in this beautiful country. Recent government changes mean that completing a Master's degree in New Zealand can earn you 5 out of the 6 points needed for the Skilled Migrant Category (SMC) Resident Visa.
Studying abroad can seem daunting, but we've got you covered. In this newsletter, you'll find a step-by-step guide to studying in New Zealand, covering everything from choosing the right course and institute to navigating the visa process.
Currently, the most in-demand degree programs are Master of Nursing Practice, Master of Applied Business, Master of Business Administration, and Master of Supply Chain Management.

Starting October 9, 2023, there will be changes to the Skilled Migrant Category (SMC) Resident Visa, providing a quicker pathway to residence for some students. Watch the video included below to learn more.
New Zealand is also a popular destination for overseas workers looking to start a new life. To protect overseas workers from exploitation, the government has passed the Worker Protection (Migrant & Other Employees) Bill, which includes measures against migrant exploitation and human trafficking.
If you want your Parent Resident Visa Expression of Interest (EOI) considered for the September draw, be sure to submit it by August 31, 2023.
