Happy New Year Everybody!
I’m so excited to be part of the Blackstone Valley Chamber and Women’s Success Network. After working at home for the last 24+ years, I was missing the opportunity to interact with other women and business owners and really craved not only the social interaction, but wanted to keep current and up-to-date in today’s world of marketing.
My story is a little personal, but I believe it shows there is always hope for new beginnings, no matter what challenges seem to be overwhelming at the time.
After my divorce in 1995, with two small boys, I decided to go back to school. With the benefit of a roommate who also had a daughter, we helped each other survive financially and emotionally through work, school and parenting. Two years later I met my current husband and we got married when I graduated from University of Maryland in 2000. I thought I wanted to be a therapist, but after going through classes, I ended up realizing I don’t have a thick enough skin! So with a natural understanding and love for business, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology.

New Year Intention Setting
The intention of Sankalpa is "letting go of the old and letting in the new."
Sankapla is a sand script word meaning set an intention or resolution. San means the highest of truth, and kapla means vow-Translate to do something or achieve something new or spiritual.
Sankalpa intends to release attachments, negative patterns, or limiting beliefs that no longer serve you and embrace new possibilities, opportunities, and energy into the New Year!
Mantra for the New Year
·“ I release the old to make space for the new.”
· “I am open to growth, change, and new opportunities.”
· “I trust the flow of life and embrace new beginnings.”
