Delta County administrative offices will observe the following holiday schedule:
- Christmas Eve (Dec. 24): Offices will close early at 12:00 p.m.
- Christmas Day (Dec. 25): Offices closed all day
- New Year’s Day (Jan. 1): Offices closed all day
Please plan ahead for any in-person services during the holiday week. Emergency services remain fully available throughout the holidays.

Delta County Is Now on ReachWell 📱
ReachWell is a free opt-in communication app Delta County is excited to offer a free community communication app designed to keep residents informed, safe, and connected.
The app is available in over 150 languages, making it an accessible tool for everyone in our community. Residents can receive:
Local alerts about emergencies, public safety, human services, community resources, public meetings, and more — all in one place.
Users follow the community organization and notifications that matter most to them, and receive the latest information from that community group.

The Giving Tree is up at the Delta County Human Services Building, located at 320 W. 5th Street, in Delta, and is offering the community an opportunity to help local families during the holiday season.
Community members are encouraged to take a tag, purchase the listed item, and return donations by the posted deadline. Your generosity helps ensure neighbors in need feel supported during the holidays.

Delta County Secures Grant Funding for Probation Consolidation and Modernization Project
Delta County has secured grant funding for its Probation Consolidation and Modernization Project, allowing the County to move forward with long-needed improvements to probation facilities that support public safety and access to justice.
The project includes $335,000 in grant funding from the Colorado Judicial Department’s Underfunded Courthouse Facility Cash Fund, combined with $80,000 in local funds committed by Delta County. Together, these funds will be used to renovate a county-owned building at 215 W. 5th Street, known as the “Blue Roof Building,” and create a centralized probation facility within the justice complex.

Delta County Commissioners Adopt 2026 Budget
The Delta County Board of Commissioners unanimously adopted the County’s 2026 Budget during Tuesday's Board of County Commissioners monthly meeting, marking the conclusion of a months-long, collaborative budgeting process involving all elected officials, department heads, and the County’s interdepartmental budget team.
The 2026 adopted budget totals $53,670,105, representing a $2,022,512 decrease from the 2025 adopted budget. The reduction is largely due to the completion of multi-year construction projects, including the final remodel of the Delta County Jail.

Fostering Hope Campaign
The final Project 1.27 video has been released, highlighting the powerful impact of foster care in Delta County.
