Hi Fur-Get Me Not Family,

While the daycare dogs enjoy an early Valentine’s Party today, we’re already looking ahead to a busy and exciting two weeks! From dog training classes & workshops to life-saving blood drives, here is how you and your dog can get involved.

New classes and workshops begin Wednesday. Checkout the schedule below. We have an Ask the Trainer in our lobby on the 23rd.

Keep scrolling for the upcoming Enrichment Camp schedule. Which theme would your dog enjoy? If your dog has tried individual activities ask our daycare team what your dog has liked most to determine which camp they might enjoy.

Lastly, don’t forget this is a 3 day weekend and we will be following holiday hours Saturday through Monday.

New Classes Begin Wednesday!

Our new cycle of workshops and manners classes is kicking off. Whether you have a boundary-testing teen or a new puppy, we have a path for you:

Puppy Manners (2/18 @ 5:30 PM): The perfect companion to your puppy socials.

Basic Manners (2/18 @ 6:45 PM): For adult dogs (2+ years) needing a skills refresh.

Daycare Foundations Workshop (2/18 @ 8 PM): A 2-week deep dive into recall, handling, and settling for social settings.

Intermediate Manners (2/19 @ 5:30 PM): Personalized coaching in all areas you've learned through Adolescent or Basic Manners: come when called, leash manners, polite greetings, leave it, wait, stay, settle, and fun tricks..

Coming When Called (2/19 @ 8 PM): Achieve a reliable recall to keep your dog safe.

Holiday Hours: President's Day Weekend

Please note our adjusted schedule for February 14–16:

Daycare: Open for half-day (10am–3pm), reservation only.
Boarding: Drop-offs/Pick-ups between 11am–2pm (Evening pick-up 7pm–8pm).
Training: No classes or socials.
Dog Walking: Regular Monday walks are canceled (Contact us if you need a fill-in!).
Sniffspot Hours: 10am-3pm, reserve @sniffspot.com

Monday, 2/23 from 4-7pm

Brianne will be in our daycare lobby at pickup time to answer questions. She will also demo some of the enrichment options we utilize during Enrichment School, On demand Training, and in our Training Classes. We will have an "Enrichment Corner" set up, if you would like to have your dog participate for a few minutes if they seem interested in trying it out. You may discover a new hidden talent or interest, you never knew your dog had!

*Brianne is one of the lead dog trainers and mentors on our training team. She teaches classes, private consults, on demand training, and trainer sessions during enrichment school. She specializes in enrichment, manners, reactivity and impulsivity behaviors. She has the following certifications and designations: CPDT-KSA, DN-CET, Fear Free Certified Professional. Canine Blood Drive at Fur-Get Me Not dog daycare in Arlington

Your dog can be a hero! Donating blood is a safe process and there are numerous benefits for your dog.

There is a crucial need for dog blood just as there are blood shortages in human medicine. Dogs receive blood transfusions for many of the same reasons as humans: trauma, surgery, treatment for toxin ingestion, or when they are undergoing cancer or hemodialysis treatments.

NAVBB is committed to providing dog blood in a humane and ethical manner. We have donors that are happy, healthy pets in a loving family.

Fur-Get Me Not has partnered with NAVBB to be a donation site on a monthly basis. We make it easy for dogs that attend daycare to participate. Fur-Get Me Not team members will retrieve your dog from daycare and facilitate their appointment with the vet. But your dog does not have to be a daycare dog to participate. Any dog owner that would like to book an appointment time with NAVABB at our location, can come with their dog to donate. As an added benefit all dogs participating receive monthly simparico trio at no cost.

Vibe: Small groups (max 6 dogs) for focused attention using higher value resources to encourage dogs to participate.
Duration: 30 minutes of specialized enrichment.
Logistics: An add-on to dog daycare between 10 AM and 2 PM.
Why: Provides mental engagement and sensory stimulation to suplement physical play from structured daycare.
Pro Tip: Dogs must arrive by 10 AM to join the fun!
