Encore Learning Presents...
November 18 - Giving Thanks for a Second Chance at Life in America
Dr. Peter Stein discussed many reasons to be thankful for a second chance at life in America. He sadly pointed out that the compelling call to action -- Never Again -- applies today: gun shooting after shooting. If you're interested in more, he donated a copy of his book A Boy's Journey: From Nazi-Occupied Prague to Freedom in America to the Arlington Public Library - it may take a few weeks before it's available on the shelf.
December 9 - Live Happier and Healthier in the New Year
Here's our speaker Brad Bickford on Monday, December 9, at Arlington's Central Library talking about the value of volunteering.
Brad's presentation was interactive, informative, and entertaining. He provided a wealth of information about about being healthier and happier. We've
posted his slideshow online
at the request of several audience members.
More Special Events: Tours
On November 19, our members enjoyed a tour of the Library of Congress, coordinated by member/volunteer Louise Kenny. Thanks to Louise for the great group photo.
