Lakeway Municipal Utility District is requesting a utility development permit from the city for its Zebra Mussel Control Project.
The project will involve construction of a new sodium permanganate chemical feed facility adjacent to the existing onsite LMUD control building on Mariner Street.
The new chemical facility is required for control of zebra mussel infestation within the raw water system, and LMUD is fast-tracking this project with emergency status.
