Our Church's Response to the Coronavirus Outbreak
Dear Church Family,

I know that many of us are concerned about the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).  Several among staff and leadership have been monitoring updates and doing our best to stay apprised of the situation as it develops.  Our Team Ministries are also discussing different approaches and modifications to worship and our many other gatherings that may be necessary and helpful in maintaining the health of our congregation. I would ask for your understanding and patience as we may make adjustments to things where germs can spread easily like Passing of the Peace and Communion.

In the meantime, I’d encourage all who are feeling sick to please stay home and join us in spirit for the time being.  For those of us who are healthy I think it best we not panic and that we continue to gather to worship, learn, and pray unless it seems advisable to do otherwise.  For all of us I’d invite us to pray over the matter; for quick solutions, for the health of our community, country and world, and for the health of our churches.

Below are some steps we can all be taking put out by the World Health Organization.

Grace and Peace,
Beau

Wash your hands frequently
Maintain social distancing (3 feet)
Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
Practice respiratory hygiene (cover mouth and nose; use tissues and dispose)
If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early
Stay informed and follow advice given by your healthcare provider

Also, please note: due to these concerns, we will be suspending serving snacks and treats during coffee hour beginning this Sunday, March 15.
