20th Anniversary year

Orphan Care relaunched

In February, a beautiful ceremony in Tasikmalaya, Indonesia officially opened the Hasanah Kautsar Orphanage under the care of Humanity First.

In a collaborative effort indicative of the global HF network, HFUSA, HF International, and HF Canada did a complete renovation of the building. HFUSA and HF Canada continue financial support while HF Indonesia manages all operations to care for the children.

The orphanage continues to welcome beautiful children to live, learn, and grow with Humanity First.

A lasting Gift of Sight

One surgery lets people go from perceiving only light to seeing loved ones' faces again.

In April, HFUSA, HF Healthcare Services, and Loyola Medicine, brought the first joint Gift of Sight mission under this partnership to Guatemala.

The international volunteers worked closely with the staff of Nasir Hospital to screen patients for eye health, prescribe treatment and glasses, and perform more than 60 eye surgeries to clear people's vision. Medical supplies were generously donated by the Surgical Eye Expeditions (SEE) and Alcon Cares Foundation.

Gift of Sight missions are part of the development of the Nasir Hospital Ophthalmology Department for long-term, comprehensive eye care.

Global Health Expanded

HFUSA Doctors 4 Humanity members made the two day journey to the Republic of the Marshall Islands in late April.

In the inaugural mission of a new partnership between HFUSA and the RMI Ministry of Health, our volunteers worked with local medical professionals to treat patients at the hospital on Ebeye Island.

In July, the Loyola University Humanity First Student Organization led a Gift of Health medical mission to new locations with HF Mexico.

Sixteen students from eight states joined local and US physicians to treat nearly 400 people! The volunteers were able to diagnose patients and offer them several months supply of free medications.

Food on American's tables

In April, Humanity First USA began a new collaboration with the New York City food bank. After the first event reached 100 families in one day, the team has been distributing food in the Bronx ever since.

Food is available through Humanity First USA in Duluth GA,, Willingboro NJ, Hawthorne NJ, Old Bridge NJ, Bronx NY, Zion IL, Hallandale Beach FL, Fort Worth TX, Manassas VA, and for students at Centre Ridge Elementary School in VA. We serve year-round, including this month, so that families have food for the holidays and to start the new year.

PharmaCare breaks ground

Patient care at Nasir Hospital is growing so fast that we need a dedicated pharmacy space!

In November, HFUSA Chairman & Executive Director, Munum Naeem joined HF Healthcare Services Chairman & CEO Majid Khan and the Nasir Hospital community to lay the new PharmaCare foundation for sustainable high-quality healthcare.

Relief from crisis

Kids sit on a thin rug on the floor inside a white shelter tent. They have paper on the floor in front of them and look up at a teacher writing on a chalkboard. One child looks back at the camera.
A man hands a bag of food and hygiene items bearing the humanity first logo to a woman.

You have reached people in a war zone with water, food, medical care, shelter, and education. A global Humanity First response to the crisis in Gaza helped people living in severe conditions all year, and we will continue with daily relief in the new year.

Thank you to donors, volunteers, partners, and our global team for making this all possible!
