THANK YOU
Your gifts at work
February, Vol.11, 2021
Greetings!

Welcome again to 2021. Last month, in January, our CdK work launched into the New Year with gusto. Since there was so much happening in the news, we gave everyone a social media vacation.

We trust you and your loved ones are well and being courageous during these times. Here at Casa de Kids in Oaxaca, Mexico, we are moving ahead with new goals and achieving successes. Thanks to your gifts of support, our group of 25 students is growing with several new students! They are optimistic in spite of doing most homework from their phones! Here are the students' highlights:

  • All 25 have re-registered for the Spring semester
  • Three received groceries
  • Two students studying for their last finals and one for the Bar
  • Two new students (includes one orphan) are in elementary school
  • One received a chair for studying (photo above, Freddy)
  • Several are receiving counseling
  • Three enrolled in English as a second language
  • One cultural trip was taken by three students (with masks)
  • We improved our website's donate page for easier use
NEW! On our new donate page you can honor someone with a gift made in their name. This could be done for a birthday, anniversary, recognition, etc. When you do this, we will send them a kind notice that your gift was made in their name.
WATCH! for our next newsletter when we share with you a complete list of the professions our students are preparing for, such as Odontology, Accounting, International Law, the Culinary Arts, and many more.
Thank you for your interest and gifts that work to provide hope, independence and financial freedom! You are making the world a better place in which to live!

In Gratitude,

Why Oaxaca?
Oaxaca City is the capital of the state of Oaxaca (pronounced wah-ha-kah). While our state is famous for native and culinary arts, it ranks as the country's third poorest and has one of the highest illiteracy rates. Its mountainous terrain makes commerce and education difficult, attracting many seeking a better life to Oaxaca City.
MISSION
To empower disadvantaged youth with education and life skills, enabling them to break cycles of poverty.
VISION
A world where youth are treated with respect and empowered through education, thriving in equality, integrity and freedom, creating the life of their dreams, while giving back to their community.
