Latest Updates

· TAKE NOTE: AU & CRR has a new mailing address which is 3825 Urban Street, Wheat Ridge, CO, 80033. (Phone number and email are the same.)

· AU will host Camp Ray-Ray 27 on June 9-11, 2023, at Snow Mt. Ranch in Granby, Colorado. The new Camp Director is Barb Johnson who was Ray-Ray's foster mom. Ray-Ray's legacy lives through this Camp that Barb started in May of 1995. Over camp's twenty-six years close to 4,000 children and members of their families have enjoyed the support and camaraderie of being with other families living with HIV.

· Pencil in Camp Ray-Ray 28 planned for June 28 - 30, 2024, at Snow Mt. Ranch.

· In the New Year, a new board of directors will be guiding AU/CRR. Look for a calendar of events that will include selfcare workshops, fundraising opportunities, and more information on HIV health and life.

Secret Angels (Secret Pen Pals)

This fall, have fun and stay connected with each other by being a Secret Angel.

RULES OF THE GAME

Who can play? Adults and children who are AU current, aged out, or legacy families, and volunteers and donors.
The Secret Angel sends a card in the mail in October, November, and December to a Secret Pen Pal. The Secret Pen Pal will also be a Secret Angel to someone else.
As an example - Send a Halloween Card to the Secret Pen Pal and in it describe what you like about October or the fall. In November send a Thanksgiving card and express what you are thankful for. In December send a Christmas card and share a family tradition or recipe.
The Secret Angel will use AU mailing address of 3825 Urban St. Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 as the return address to aid with anonymity. Feel free to leave clues to your identity in the cards.
In January, you can reveal yourself as the Secret Angel or continue to secretly send mail to your pen pal.

TO PLAY

Email ([email protected]) or call the AU Office (303-456-4050) with your name, address, and phone number. Office Manager Kathy will randomly pair you with someone based on age groups: children, teens, or adults.

DEADLINE

October 15, 2022, is the deadline to enroll in the Secret Angel game.

After a two-year pause, Camp reunited HIV families and provided an environment for long-lasting connections and support at Snow Mt. Ranch.

On August 26, 2022, fourteen families and volunteers assembled to enjoy the outdoors, Family Olympics, horse riding, Steffanie's Sunshine room, the remembrance ceremony, massages, archery, roller-skating, tubing, and line dancing hosted by KOSI radio celebrity Chuck Woodford.

Thanks to everyone who helped unit our super powers for good!!!
