BROOKSIDE OCTOBER 2022

HELLO

FALL

Forget Summer; Fall is where it's at. Don't believe us? Check below to see what's happening at Brookside and learn how to make Fall your new favorite season.

Hey everybody, we're looking forward to seeing you again this weekend at 10:10 AM, where we'll be back in the Book of James, specifically James 4:11-12, listening to the Apostle telling us how to quit playing God. Powerful stuff! See you Sunday!

Appreciation/Harvest Dinner

November 6.

Change the Date Reminder - Sunday, November 6th, is a carry-in dinner. We will be having the combined Harvest/Pastors' Appreciation Luncheon together on November 6th so please bring a dish to share to the meal in the gym after the morning service. Come and enjoy a great time of fellowship. FROM DEREK PAGE

Sunday Evenings October 9, 16, 23, 31

This Sunday, October 9th, Brookside Free Methodist Church Men's Ministry will be looking at "SEVEN WAYS TO BE HER HERO" It will be a great 4 week study on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:15. Join us for a Sunday evening Campfire night! This is the perfect kind of campfire weather so come hangout with other Brookside people and get connected while enjoying a campfire. All are welcome.

Details: Sunday, October 9, at 6pm. Feel free to come and go at your convenience.

Bring your lawn chairs and whatever snacks you want to enjoy around a fire. We thought it would be fun to see how well we could light up the area with any battery operated lights you wanted to bring as well.

Location: Brookside FMC firepit.

(Men's ministry will be taking place at 6:00, but any guys who wish can join the campfire afterwards.

(If campfires are not your thing, there should be card games going on inside.)

Volunteer Opportunities: Helping in Jesus' Name

Our Missions Committee is offering scholarships to help pay your travel expenses if you are interested in being part of one of one of the Samaritan's Purse response groups listed below. Samaritan's Purse runs an extremely well organized program in these times of need. Meals and sleeping quarters are provided for overnight volunteers. Volunteers need to bring a twin size air mattress or cot, linens/sleeping bag, pillow, towels and personal hygiene items. Tools will be provided, and volunteers are welcome to bring their own tool belts and small hand tools. Volunteers should dress in long pants and sturdy boots. Contact Bill or Teresa Waggoner (or anyone on the Mission Committee with any questions.)
