"Money Coach has changed my life. It still is changing my life."

Through the SecureFutures Money Coach program, Elliyah learned that every financial decision she makes today impacts her financial future, and ultimately, her life goal. Because of the Money Coach program Elliyah now knows how to go about making her dream come true. “ Save and budget ,” is her new mantra.

“My big dream in life is to be a poet, have a family, and be financially stable. The skills I learned in Money Coach are helping me get there. I’m actually thinking about the choices I make.”

As you may know, we recently announced a goal to secure $100,000 for 2018-2019 Money Coach scholarships. These scholarships are essential because they provide savings and incentives that help students set goals and develop financial habits to help them actualize their dreams. With your help we can reach that goal.

“Being in Money Coach is the first time I have felt like I have a support system; a team that I can fall back on for help. I have built relationships that are important to me and the skills have become a part of my life,” said Elliyah.

Across our community, students just like Elliyah are struggling to find a way to achieve their dreams. They need your help. Your investment provides financial education and resources that start students on the path to stable and secure financial futures.

Money Coach Celebration
May 21, 2018

The Money Coach Celebration is our way of recognizing our students, site partners, and volunteers by celebrating the time and effort they put into successfully completing the program. This semester our Money Coach Celebration was held at one of our partner sites, Messmer High School on Monday, May 21st.

We use this as an opportunity for our students to network with other adults and students by incorporating a networking/icebreaker activity to kick-off the event. Our theme for this semester's celebration was "You get back what you put in" re-emphasizing the idea of getting a return on your investment, but in all parts of life. Students heard from three Money Coach alumnus who graduated from the program at least two years ago.

We are grateful for the 30 Money Coach volunteers that mentored and coached 112 teenagers at nine different high schools and community based organizations!
