Business network group Harrogate Digital are showcasing the district, with a week of online events as part of the Leeds Digital Festival 2020.

Hosted from 28 September to 1 October, the festival features a range of inspiring people working in tech and based in the Harrogate district.

Register today. That's the advice to local businesses looking for grant funding, as the government's recent support scheme attracts growing interest.

Would you value specialist advice or new equipment, to help your business expand or diversify? Funding of £1,000-£3,000 is being offered to eligible businesses to assist their recovery from the impact of Covid-19.

Jointly managed by the two local enterprise partnerships, businesses are asked to register their interest on-line.

Promoting your business and the Harrogate district offer is the focus of a free masterclass this September.

Local network Think Harrogate is inviting businesses of all sizes and sectors to join this practical and inspiring session on place marketing.

Independent retailers looking to drive footfall, larger companies with local roots and tourism business looking to encourage visitors will gain a useful insight on the value of place-led storytelling.
 
The masterclass gives examples of areas that have successfully raised their profile, and introduces the free Think Harrogate visual toolkit. 
Covid-19 and the Workplace: Stay Safe Webinar, 14 September

Managing a safe workplace and addressing Covid-19 control measures is the focus of a free, local webinar.

Held on 14 September, the event features speakers from North Yorkshire County Council's public health team and looks at practical ways for businesses to support colleagues and customers.
Kickstart: Funding for Employers to Create Job Placements
Employers are invited to support their business and workforce training, with funding from the government's Kickstart scheme.

A £2 billion fund has been established to create high quality 6-month work placements, for people aged 16 to 24 years. Employers will receive funding towards the wages and costs of each Kickstart placement.
 
Support is being developed for smaller businesses looking to hire one or two Kickstarters, through locally based intermediaries. More details on the offer in the Harrogate district and North Yorkshire are due to be announced soon.
