Christmas comes early
savings christmas
You saved all year, and now it's paid off. If you have a 1st Cooperative Holiday Helper account, your funds transferred into your savings or checking account yesterday, Nov. 1.

If you’ve chosen to have your funds transferred to another financial institution through a secure ACH credit, your funds will be available tomorrow, Nov. 3.

These short-term savings accounts, sometimes known as Christmas Club accounts because they help you save for the holidays, are an easy way to save.

Don't have a Holiday Helper account? Get a head start on Christmas 2021 by opening one today right here.
First, fast and friendly
David Drumheller
When you ask David Drumheller, IT director at Edisto Electric Cooperative, what he likes best about 1st Cooperative, he points to three big things.

"First, who doesn't love to work with local people who are helpful, rather than answer 19 electronic prompts over the phone?," asks David. "Second, the rates and terms are highly competitive. Third, their online portal is easy to use and shows all my banking in one place. It's first, fast and friendly service."

Good things really do come in threes. To check out all the services 1st Cooperative can offer you, call them at 803-796-0234 or visit 1st Cooperative's website.
It's in the preparation
running
Before you start your holiday shopping, be prepared with hand sanitizer, wipes and, of course, your mask if you plan to shop in-store.

Go Local – Want to avoid large crowds? Not only is shopping at small and local businesses often a better option for the local economy, but you may also avoid large groups—especially in non-peak shopping hours.

Skip the line – Many stores are offering contactless pick-up or curbside delivery. Take advantage of these options and shop from the comfort of your home. When your order is ready, go pick it up without having to get out of your car.

Go crafty — “Experience” presents like gift cards, certificates, or concert tickets may not be a safe bet this year, but that doesn’t mean the gift can’t still be special. For those you care about the most, make a gift that will remind them of you. Sometimes it is the thought that counts!
