The Loft is a working artists' studio expanded to include a gallery and shoppe exhibiting more than 30 artists and artisans.  O ffering drawing classes, workshops, museum and gallery day trips & a monthly art salon.  Lots of unique, one-of-a-kind gift items and home decor to choose from as well as vintage and antique furniture and objects.

The Loft is where Art Happens in Culpeper!

Art Studio, Gallery (over 30 local and regional artists), Drawing Classes (Tuesday evenings with life model), Weekend Workshops (for adults and kids), Special Exhibits (artists and art groups), Day Trippin'! (chauffered day trips to selected artistic and creative venues), and ArtSpeak! (a monthly social gathering of creative folks, free and open to the public)!
Many congratulations to Ramey Campbell for the sale of his lovely painting, The Last Cutting, Somerset Plantation and Anna Marie Torre Wright with the sale of her enormous Blue Leaf Platter!  A delighted lady purchased a gorgeous pair of sterling silver earrings with lapis stones from Jordan Bryson!

Please note that there will be no Yoga this Friday, July 7th...why? know why, Opening Night of Barebones!

This is not your typical local art exhibit with the usual flowers and landscapes.  Please do not misunderstand me, I paint flowers and landscapes, but other groups and galleries have got this covered and do it beautifully.  Barebones provides a venue for the edgy and provocative.  The exhibit represents artists from not only local galleries and art groups but also creative people working independently in our community.  I'm happy to have them find their tribe here at the Loft.  Oh and there ARE lovely landscapes too! Come and support the arts community in Culpeper.

The Loft's Day Trippin' program has been so successful, with me chauffeuring people to local special exhibits and museums.  We just spent a day in Richmond at the VFMA viewing the YSL special exhibit.  Yes, there was a lovely lunch and alcohol involved and lots of laughs, with good shopping, but we DID see the exhibit!  Next up; Dumbarton Oaks!  One of my all time favorite museums to go to in Virginia.  Seats are limited, so register now.

Super ArtSpeak! in June!  Over 20 people enjoyed the readings from Nol, Miriam, Tina and Aaron.  Not one visual art piece!  We took advantageous of having these wonderful writers present!  Also, renown architect, yes, he's won several coveted awards for work in DC, Maryland and Virginia, Michael Lyszcek, spoke of local architecture and space.  It was a great evening.  Come to ArtSpeak! in July, on the hunt for a fascinating speaker, and bring your artwork for critique!

Stay fierce my friends,

Don't forget the Dogs!
Please support our fundraiser, Shoes 4 Paws, by cleaning out your closet and donating gently worn, used or new shoes!  Drop off at the Loft!  Collect from family members and co-workers too!

Barebones Exhibit!

Opening Night is July 7, 6pm-9pm!  Be sure to bring your friends and family!   We will have a lovely catered foodie spread, Prosecco, beer, and live music provided by the awesome Jordan Bryson!  As always, this is an edgy, provocative exhibit and includes creative people working in our community with no affiliations to art groups or galleries.  Artists, please come to show support for your creative comrades! Come to celebrate the arts in Culpeper!  I am so excited to hang this exhibit and party with you all!
