HealthPartners offers new prescription drug tool
A new feature on helps members comparison shop for medications. The prescription shopping tool is one of the first of its kind to identify what a member will pay out-of-pocket and what the health plan will pay for medications at nearby pharmacies. The information is personalized and combines real-time prices with the consumer's specific plan.

"Making health care more affordable is a top priority for us. This tool makes it easier for members to see and compare prices which can help lower the cost of their care," said Scott Schnuckle, senior vice president, pharmacy and business development at HealthPartners. "In addition, studies show that the cost of medication is a top reason why up to 50 percent of prescriptions are not filled or are not taken as prescribed. This tool will help remove that barrier to better health."

Former state geometrics engineer joins TKDA
TKDA is pleased to announce that former state geometrics engineer Darwin Yasis, PE, has joined the firm's Surface Transportation Division. Many of his 22 years of experience in the areas of transportation planning, project development and implementation were spent with the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

During that time, Yasis led the department in the successful design and delivery of innovative interchange and intersection designs, many of which were first in the state, in order to meet the growing needs of the transportation industry and the community. He oversaw the development of design guidelines and their implementation for diverging diamond interchanges, which improve traffic safety and cut overall traffic delays by up to 60 percent, and MnDOT's MnPASS Express Lanes, which use highway shoulders as a viable congestion mitigation strategy.

Kraus-Anderson recruits Southtown Guitar Center
Southtown Shopping Center in Bloomington has recently begun to renovate Southtown's "New Town" area that will reconfigure most of the existing enclosed mall. Known as the world's largest music instrument retailer, the new Guitar Center store will feature the latest products for musicians - from guitars, amplifiers, percussion instruments and keyboards to live sound DJ lighting and more.

In addition to both new and used instruments and gear, the store will provide musicians with on-site guitar repairs, gear rentals and Guitar Center Lessons for musicians of all ages, from beginner to advanced. The Guitar Center announcement adds to the momentum of change happening at Southtown, a 500,000-square-foot retail center that has been a flagship project for Kraus-Anderson since its opening in 1960, when it transformed a cow pasture into Bloomington's largest regional retail center. The Guitar Center storefront image can be found here. Located near one of the busiest, high-profile intersections at Interstates 35W and 494, Southtown's other new recent retailers include a Petco and The Joint Chiropractic.
