He is a 4 year member of the school Robotics Team, as well as a varsity (2017 All Parish Honorable Mention) soccer player. He has also been a competitive soccer player for Club Shreveport United for 4 years and was named 2017 Defensive MVP.

Cole plans to apply to Louisiana Tech in Ruston, Louisiana and major in Cyber Engineering. We congratulate him on his accomplishments and wish him the very best for his continuing education.

Risk isn’t what it once was – It’s no longer a manageable series of outcomes based on data points pulled from the past. Risk today is far more future-oriented and dynamic, and it requires attention from stakeholders at the top. Finance leaders will become crucial in seizing new business opportunities, being heavily relied on to identify, assess and manage risks. If done poorly, the company could be left exposed and leave opportunities on the table.

Where there is risk, look to data

Outsmarting risk is all about knowing the truth about who you’re doing business with—whether it’s a customer, a supplier, or a vendor. With an understanding of these relationships, who they are, where they came from, and the risk associated with them, finance leaders can make more profitable and sustainable decisions while adhering to varying compliance requirements.

Small Businesses Report More Bank Loans, Increased Hiring

  • 84% of SMBs surveyed expect their business to perform better in 2018 than in 2017 (a 72% percent increase from Q4 2017).
  • Fewer SMBs reported that the current business financing environment is hindering their growth opportunities (down nearly 9% percent) compared to one year ago.
  • Small businesses reported higher success rates in accessing financing from bank loans (37% in Q4 2017, up from 29% in Q4 2016).
