Don't miss the opportunity to attend a USHJA Zone 1 Educational Forum this year. The forums are free, cover a variety of topics and include refreshments. Mark your calendar:

Applications deadline extended for USHJA Zones 1 & 2 Platinum Jumper Championships
|
|
The USHJA Platinum Jumper Championships application deadline for Zones 1 and 2 has been extended to
June 4.
To be eligible to qualify, horse and rider combinations need to have earned a minimum of $250 at the 1.40/1.45m height and to have not competed in an Open High Performance Standard Grand Prix in the current competition year.

Sport History: Fun facts from the USHJA Wheeler Museum!

Before going on to national grand prix and 1984 Olympic Team Gold fame, Melanie Smith (Taylor) won 1970 Horse of the Year honors in the Amateur Owner Jumper Division with The Irishman.
Here they are at Melanie’s hometown Germantown Horse Show clearing a jump typical of the 1960s and 1970s: A long and wide slanted panel that served as the “Joker” bonus jump in a Gambler’s Choice class.
