Congratulations to USHJA Annual Award Recipients
The 2021 USHJA Annual Meeting, presented by Equicore, featured the Evening of Equestrians on Saturday, December 4.

Nine President's Distinguished Service Awards were presented by Knowlton this year, acknowledging the outgoing Chairs of the Zone Committees and thanking them for their service including Zone 9's Clare Warren.

The Vital Horse Show Staff Award honors the sport's support staff, whose role is essential to Hunter/Jumper competitions' success. This year's West Coast award went to Chris King, of Pacific Beach, Washington.

Inaugural Platinum Performance/USHJA International Hunter Derby Regional Championships Conclude
The first year of the Platinum Performance/USHJA International Hunter Derby Regional Championships wrapped up after five championships were held across the country. North, North Central, South, South Central and Southwest regions saw champions crowned throughout the year.

2021 Platinum Performance/USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Regional Championships Wrap Up
Twelve new champions were honored as the Platinum Performance/USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Regional Championships expanded from five to six competitions in 2021. Tricolors were awarded in the 3’0”/3’3” and 3’6”/3’9” sections at championships held across the country from the East to the Southwest.

The Oregon High Desert Classic 2 hosted the Northwest Championship, July 28-August 1 in Bend, Oregon. Nicole Stern, of Redmond, Washington, and her own Delegate took the top honors in the 3’0”/3’3” section. Nicole Dicorti Bush, of Soquel, California, and Imperial, owned by Taryn Jane, took reserve. In the 3’6”/3’9” section, Dezraye Choi, of Pacifica, California, and Eavan Bronfman’s Quax took the win. Reserve went to Sara Petersen, of Kingston, Washington, and Lily Swift’s Galileo.

Montana Hunter Jumper Association
We would like to thank and congratulate those that represented MHJA at the Marshall & Sterling Insurance/USHJA Affiliate Championships in Las Vegas. Of those competing, three won Championships!

Lindsay Weinberg and her 17 year old Holsteiner mare, Lola Z, claimed the .80 Jumper title. She was coached by Chanel Shaffer. Hadley Lieberman riding her new horse, Eruba, a 12 year old KWPN mare, brought back the Championship title in the .90 Children’s Jumpers. She trains with Sally Parks and Parkwood Jumpers out of Idaho. Lisa Baller and Crown Sterling captured the 2’6” Adult Equitation Championship. Sterling is an 8 year old, Oldenburg gelding and they train with Todd Gregory.

Congratulations on a job well done to all the riders, many of whom won Reserves and multiple ribbons in the Divisions they competed. Also, a huge thank you to Allison Heidmann and The Big Sky Classic Shows. Allison has provided top quality Outreach Shows in our state and made it possible for our riders to compete in Las Vegas.

What an awesome way to end the Show Season! Here’s hoping 2022 is as fun and successful as 2021 has been. Set your Goals and work hard to reach them! Photos provided.
