Voting is Open for USHJA Zone Committee Elections
Voting is open for USHJA Zone Committee member elections through July 1, 2021.

Senior Active or Senior Associate members in good standing are eligible to participate in the election process.

To vote in Zone elections, members can click here, and select their zone to find a list of candidates, read candidate bios and vote. Each member can select three Hunter and three Jumper candidates.

The Platinum Performance/USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Regional Championships kick off next month!

USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Program participants may choose whichever regional championship they want but horses may only compete in one regional championship per year.

USHJA Outreach Member Highlight
Annalee Freeland, of Bend, Oregon, was champion in the 2020 USHJA Outreach Jumper .75-.8M section.

What did you enjoy about participating in the Outreach program in 2020?
I really enjoy challenging my riding and being able to compete for year-end awards

How did you get involved in the sport?
I started riding at 3 years old. My mom introduced me to horses and I fell in love.

What’s your favorite riding memory?
In year 2020 I won champion in the 2’6 medal finals, I have worked really hard to qualify and I am proud to win after all my hard work.

What are riding goals for this year?
My goals are to become a better rider and horsewoman. I will be showing my pony dancer in the 2’6 rated shows. My goal is to do well and have fun!

What do you enjoy most about the USHJA community? 
It allows me to stay connected. I like reading and learning from others.

The USHJA National Championships are set to return to Las Vegas November 15-21. Learn more about the event and qualifying here.
Congratulations to Adison Stark!
Congratulations to Adison Stark, 12, of Bend, Oregon, a recipient of the USHJA Gochman Grant for USEF Pony Finals, presented by Honor Hill Farms.

Stark has been riding since she was a toddler. She loves riding ponies and has always dreamed of being a pony kid and competing in Pony Finals. She is eager to learn and enjoys participating in riding clinics when she has the opportunity. Stark is described as driven, engaged and curious, working hard to achieve anything she puts her mind to.

"When I got the call it didn't even seem real; it was like I was in a dream," Stark said about receiving the news about the grant. "I am so grateful to the Gochman family for making my dream a possibility, and I am so excited to meet the many other incredible kids at Pony Finals!"

The USHJA Young Jumper Championships will serve as the national championship for young Jumpers in the United States, allowing talented prospects to be showcased by owners, breeders and riders and shown at the national level.

Participate in the Forward Riding Proficiency Program

The goal of the ANRC is to promote the American System of Forward Riding and as an organization, we work to strengthen the quality and accessibility of education within the hunter/jumper discipline.

The ANRC offers educational content appropriate for riders and their horses at various stages of learning.

The FORWARD RIDING PROFICIENCY PROGRAM offers riders a pathway to cash grant opportunities to assist them in their pursuit
of a higher level of horsemanship.

IHSA Announces 2021 Academic Achievement and Scholarship Award Winners

Congratulations to all the IHSA members earning first- and second -team academic achievement awards and to the scholarship award winners.

“IHSA members as a whole are high-performing students," said Peter Cashman, IHSA executive director. "It gives us a feeling of great pride to see our members perform well in the show ring and excel at their studies. Academic excellence is an important piece of the IHSA mission and we applaud their effort.”
