Recalls to Know About

Tesla Air Bag Recall

Manufacturer: Tesla, Inc.

Problem: Certain 2024-2025 Model S and Model X vehicles are being recalled because the airbags will tear when they are deployed. This problem means that the airbags do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 208 and 212.

How to Fix: Tesla will fix this problem, free of charge. Owners will receive a letter in the mail after February 21, 2025. Owners can also contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752. The recall number for this issue is SB-24-20-001.

RAM Air Bag Recall

Manufacturer: Chrysler (FCA, US, LLC)

Problem: Certain 2016-2019 RAM 3500, RAM 1500, 2016-2020 RAM 2500, and 2016 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis vehicles have left and right side curtain air bags that are being recalled, as they may rupture due to a manufacturing defect.

How to Fix: Dealers will replace one or both of these curtain air bags, as necessary, free of charge. Owners will receive a letter sometime after February 13, 2025. Owners can also call customer service at 1-800-853-1403. The recall numbers for this issue is 05C, 09C, and 10C.

Toyota Air Bag Recall

Manufacturer: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing

Problem: Toyota is recalling certain 2023 Corolla, Corolla Cross, Corolla Cross Hybrid, Highlander, Highlander Hybrid, Tacoma, Lexus RX350, 2023-2024 NX250 and NX 350 vehicles. These vehicles were previously recalled and may have been incorrectly fixed by Toyota dealers. An electrical connection inside the steering system might be welded incorrectly, causing the driver's air bag to separate and deactivate.

How to Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace if necessary. Owners will receive a letter sometime after March 30, 2025. Owners can also contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. The recall number for Toyota vehicles is 25TA02 and 25LA02 for the Lexus vehicles.

What are the benefits of rear-facing car seats?

It's not uncommon for parents and caregivers to want to turn their child forward-facing as soon as they can. Common reasons for this are:

  • Concerns that their child's legs could break in an accident
  • Their child doesn't like being rear-facing.
  • They want to be able to see their child better when they're in the back seat.

When a child is rear-facing, their head and neck are better protected because they move with the car seat in a crash. Young children have heavy heads and often don't have strong muscles in their neck, even when they're in the toddler stage.

Turning a child forward-facing before they are ready puts them at risk for a neck or spine injury in a crash.

Mainely Teeth is returning to RFGH to help make dental care more accessible! This program is a great option for people who do not have a dental provider.

Participating Offices

  • Redington Medical Primary Care
  • Redington Family Practice
  • Redington Pediatrics
  • Skowhegan Family Medicine
  • Norridgewock Health Center

If you (or your child) are a patient at one of these practices and you would like to make an appointment to see Mainely Teeth, please call RFGH Community Health at (207) 858-2318.

If you are scheduled for an appointment, the visit will be at your Primary Care Office. Please know that even though this appointment will be at your Primary Care Office, you will become a patient of Mainely Teeth. Mainely Teeth will bill your dental insurance for the visit. If you do not have dental insurance, they offer a sliding fee scale option for payment. Mainely Teeth will discuss payment options with you when they schedule your appointment.
