Toronto Motorcycle Show

The OFTR was proud to be at the Toronto Motorcycle Show, February 17, 18, and 19th at the Enercare Centre in Toronto.

With a team of fabulous volunteers, the OFTR was happy to welcome visitors to the booth. We saw many familiar faces and a lot of new ones too.

The show seemed busy, with smiling motorcycle enthusiasts coming out on the Family Day weekend to see all that the show offered.

The OFTR booth featured bikes from KTM Canada (including the popular GasGas EC 50). Voltage Cycle also loaned us a Surron Storm Bee.

The booth had the interactive RideOFTR maps on display and visitors to the booth could get the big picture of the trail network.

The buzz from the booth was all of our members getting excited at the promise of spring and the opening of the trails.

Thank you to everyone that stopped by to say hello or to purchase their 2023 membership.

Great News From the Dufferin Rooftop Recreational Riders

On February 4th, 2023 the Dufferin Rooftop Recreational Riders Association (DRRRA) announced an agreement with Grey County to access the Grey County Rail Trail, which connects Dundalk to Owen Sound.

This is tremendous news for the DRRRA and the OFTR as the addition of trails is always positive for our members.

The DRRRA president, Art Ash will plan a grand opening celebration in the spring and the route will be added to RideOFTR.

Great work DRRRA!

MTO Grant Funding

Recently, the OFTR was approved for a grant from the Ministry of Transportation in order to do a series of safety videos for the off-road motorcycle community. With many new riders getting into the sport, we felt it was important to educate all riders on some of the important things to know while enjoying our sport.

The first video that we have completed is a helmet safety video. This video share the importance of fit, and some of the safety features that are available in newer helmets.

We will release more video's throughout the year, so stayed tuned.
