2018 EXIN Masters World Cup  Masters

From July 27-August 5, three Canadian teams participated in the 2018 EXIN Masters World Cup in Terrassa, Spain.

The Women's 50+ team finished 14th out of 16 teams but made Canadian Masters history when they defeated France 4-0, marking the first ever victory by a Canadian Women's Masters team at a World Cup event.

The Men's 50+ team came out with a similar result, finishing in 14th place. After dropping their four round robin games, the Canadian Men bounced back with two convincing placement match wins over Argentina and Zimbabwe.

The Women's 55+ team finished in 9th place. This team also made Canadian Masters history, scoring their first goal in international play by any Canadian team in this age group.

The Canadian Masters Teams are optimistic about their future on the International stage, and are already looking forward to the World Cup in 2020. For a full event recap, visit the Field Hockey Canada website.
