U15 National Championship
The Field Hockey Canada U15 National Championships were played in Calgary, Alberta, this year, and the Team BC players did great representing their province away from home.

The U15 BC Boys led the round robin against Ontario, Quebec and Alberta, beating all of their adversaries. In the final, however, Quebec ended up winning by 2-1. Our boys came back home proud of their silver medals in such a balanced tournament.
BC Boys, silver medallists in the U15 Nationals
Among the girls, BC was represented by three teams: Rams, Lions and Stags. Coming from Vancouver Island, the Stags finished the tournament in 5th place, and the BC Lions ladies finished 4th. The Rams made it to the final and won the gold medal by beating Ontario Central with a 4-0.

Field Hockey Canada makes history in the Pan American Games 2019
Hosted in Lima, Peru, the 2019 Pan American Games was particularly special for Canadian Field Hockey, since both our teams, men and women, came back home with a silver medal on their chests.

The Canadian women's national team, had an amazing and surprising run. Ranked 18th in the world, our ladies managed to eliminate the United States - 2015 Pan Am champs - in the semifinal. Despite loss to Argentina in the gold medal game, the silver medal was historical. Click here to read the full story.

As for the men's team, the story ended similarly. Their great performance in the tournament also culminated in a clash against Argentina. The South Americans, who had won the Panamerican gold medals in 2011 and 2015, secured another title by defeating Canada. Click here to read the full story.

Now, both Canadian teams will play the Olympic qualifiers in the fall for a spot in Tokyo 2020.
