On October 5, 2016, ESI Research Analyst,  Grant Holland , attended and spoke at the press conference organized by Allergan plc. ESI spearheaded an economic impact study for the pharmaceutical company which ascertained the immense fiscal benefits that Allergan will generate for the state of New Jersey with its project to relocate and combine its existing five facilities, located throughout various cities in New Jersey, into a new U.S. Administrative Headquarters in Madison, New Jersey. Also in attendance at the event was Allergan CEO Brent Saunders, U.S. Representative Leonard Lance, Assemblywoman Mila M. Jasey, Madison Mayor Robert Conley and several people from the Office of State Senator Cory Booker.

This cutting edge research is based on a survey of 2,000 investors and 500 investment providers across 10 major wealth markets, in-depth interviews, and economic modeling led by noted economist Dr. Nouriel Roubini. The study was produced in conjunction with a diverse coalition of sponsors, including Bank of Montreal, Broadridge Financial Solutions, CFA Institute, Cisco, eToro, Schroders, SEI, and State Street.. Cognizant released the first in a series of white papers titled 'The Work Ahead.' The Work Ahead is the result of a worldwide survey of the business community undertaken by Roubini Thoughtlab. It has for objective to outline the impacts the digital revolution will have on various industries. Industry specific reports based on the data and research conducted will be released over the next few weeks to warn and aid providers and consumers of the imminent changes digitizing these industries will bring. We would like to congratulate our colleague, Alison Shott, who was recently promoted to the role of Senior Analyst. We also want to wish the best to Brittany Forman and her baby and welcome her back to ESI this month after her maternity leave. We also want to congratulate  Daniel Miles on the upcoming birth of his child.
ESI is proud to welcome our newest Research Analyst, Elizabeth Desmond, and Research Associate, Carlos Bonilla, to the firm. We would also like to introduce our newest Marketing Assistant co-op, Sharan Walia, and Research Assistant, Nehel Shahid.

Prior to joining ESI, Elizabeth spent five years leading financial analysis for over a hundred clients at Wolf Popper LLP in New York and Grant & Eisenhofer in Wilmington. She worked in business development and contributed to several notable cases, including derivative litigation against the firm that audited Bernard Madoff Securities.  At ESI, Elizabeth applies a strong background in finance, economics, and statistical analysis to a wide range of projects.   
 
Carlos Bonilla              
 
At ESI, Carlos offers his background in spatial analysis, cartography, urban issues, web development and environmental issues.  Prior to joining ESI, Carlos worked for Azavea Summer of Maps, a program focused in pairing students with local and national non-profits to perform geospatial analysis. During his time at Azavea, he also conducted research for The Food Trust and the Greater Bicycle Coalition.

Previous Highlights

ESI President Stephen Mullin moderated a roundtable event at the SugarHouse Casino on Thursday, Oct. 6, about the gaming industry's current and future investment in Philadelphia. Pennsylvania's casinos generate billions of dollars in economic activity, but a number of issues plague them, including proposed new taxes. State and local leaders came together on Thursday, calling for more "progressive" policies that would grow casino properties rather than hinder them. Read more here.

ESI Seeks Marketing and Administrative Assistant

ESI is currently seeking  one full-time Marketing and Administrative Assistant who will divide their time betwee n general marketing for ESI and administrative support for ESI's latest joint venture, Roubini Thou ghtlab. This Marketing and Administrative Assistant will be reporting to ESI's Director of Business Development and Roubini Thoughtlab's CEO. 

Knowledge of WebEx and Microsoft Office Suite with strong skills in Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint as well as Wordpress, Wix, and basic HTML skills is a plus in addition to some experience and/or knowledge in both Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
