On October 2, 2017, Philadelphians interested in public transit issues gathered at the Free Library to discuss the state of Philadelphia's bus service. Hosted by the Philadelphia Media Network, Rethinking Transit featured a panel of riders, SEPTA leaders and transit experts, including ESI PresidentRichard Voith.
Stephen Mullin moderated the panel, Revitalizing Camden, hosted by Drexel University's Alumni Association on October 5. The panel discussed the public policies and initiatives regarding Camden and its redevelopment and future.
Stephen Mullin also delivered an address on Philadelphia's economy to a meeting of Sigma Phi Pi, the country's oldest African American fraternal society, founded in Philadelphia in 1904.
