Take PREC's Q3 Survey before September 30!
ESI, in conjunction with the Philadelphia Real Estate Council and the Philadelphia Business Journal, invite you to take the PREC's Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Sentiment Survey for Q3. This survey asks respondents to consider the current and future real estate market trends.
ESI will be hosting a workshop event for DesignPhiladelphia in October. Senior Advisor Natalie Nixon, along with her colleagues and design leaders, Tayyib Smith and Rob Fleming, will be presenting on "Designing Futures for Equitable Neighborhoods in Philadelphia". 
NMBio Strategic Partner
ESI, has joined the New Mexico Biotechnology & Biomedical Association, NMBio, as a Strategic Partner. In this role, ESI will provide knowledge, critical skills, and expertise to clients in need.
ESI collaborated with FINANTA, a nonprofit lending institution based in the Philadelphia region, to produce an RFP. The RFP is for a Financial Needs Assessment and Request for Partnerships to provide the financial services deemed necessary for the community. Responses are due Oct. 31, read the RFP
City of Chester Meeting
ESI is the state appointed Act 47 Recovery Coordinator for the City of Chester. In May 2018, based on the City's new fiscal trajectory and recent operational improvements, the Department of Community and Economic Development accepted ESI's recommendation for a three-year extension in the Act 47 program for the City of Chester. The Act 47 Exit Plan outlining a strategy to exit distressed status was released on August 20th and a public meeting was held at City Hall on September 6th.

Dr. Leroy D. Nunery II's study, the Journey of African American Insurance Professionals: Past and Present, was highlighted in Business Insurance magazine. It is being used as the programmatic basis for national discussions on diversity and inclusion in the industry.
Catherine Timko spoke at the Annual International Economic Development Council's Annual meeting in late August on a panel about "The Intersection of Food & Economic Development". She also attended the Philadelphia/New Jersey ICSC Deal Making in Philadelphia Sept. 5-6. 
Richard Bickel  a ttended a panel meeting for the Transit Cooperative Research Program project H-57, developing a guide for transit agencies on joint development in Washington, DC Sept. 5. The purpose of the meeting was to select a project consultant from the proposals received. 
Stephen Mullin will be a panelist at the Duane Morris Real Estate Roundtable on Sept. 13 and speaking at a WTA meeting on Sept. 26 and DVRPC's Futures Group event, "Current Trends in Globalization" on Oct. 3. He will also be serving on the Nominating Committee for Center City Proprietors Association.
Lee Huang will be leading a discussion about "The Future of Workspace: How and Where Innovation Will Happen" at UEDA's Disruptive Economic Summit, on Oct. 22 in Milwaukee, WI.
Peter Angelides will be speaking at Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia's "Philadelphia 10-Year Tax Abatement Program" on Sept. 18.
Bernie Markstein completed work for the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), estimating June state construction unemployment rates. His work was also featured on various news outlets.
Robin Winston recently led efforts to build $3.2M Levi Coffin Interpretive Center in Fountain Center, Indiana. It is located near the site of an Underground Railroad house that once provided freedom to over 2,000 people. He also provided funding for the Winston Reading Room at the facility.

ESI ThoughtLab supported EY in the release of their report Women and Wealth: The Case for a Customized Approach. The report details the rise of women's wealth, income, and independence. Much of the data included comes from ESI ThoughtLab's Wealth and Asset Management 2021 report.
