Hello Sunrise Families,
Burr, November is right around the corner and the weather is changing fast. Please send your child to school with a warm coat, hat, and mittens or gloves. Contact the office if you need support with these items.
A couple of weeks ago, your child brought home a copy of their STAR reading and math screener information. We use this to help us set their academic goals for the year. In addition to STAR, we collect other pieces of academic and behavioral data to help us decide how to be focus and meet their needs. We review the data frequently and encourage you to talk with your child’s teacher to know and understand their developmental growth. Conferences are set for November 6th and 8th. You will be able to discuss your child’s progress at this time.
Thank you for dropping your child off at school by 7:55am. Students being dropped off after 7:55am must enter at the front doors. School starts at 8:00am daily and ends at 2:55pm. Daily attendance is the best way for us to support your child.
We had so much fun at our Literacy night on October 18th. Games, treats, book reading, and fun was had by all. We hope you enjoy the pictures on the website, Facebook, and Seesaw.
I want to extend a huge thank you to Firefighters Plansky and Sandborn for coming to Sunrise to teach us about fire safety. We appreciate your help!
Thank you for filling out our Schoolwide Title 1 survey. This information helps us to plan programming for our students and families. If you haven’t had a chance to fill it out yet, please go to our web page or stop in the office for a hard copy.
We are still looking for adult volunteers! Please fill out an online application today and make a difference in the life of a child. Your support is appreciated!
