Local Spotlight
Two new businesses bring sweetness and spice to Pefflaw
Jean and Rob started Templeman’s Toffee in 2006 after dreaming of leaving behind corporate work, long commutes and time away from their kids. After recently moving into their new factory space in Pefferlaw, they were joined by Nadya of Spice of Life, who offers a range of gourmet hot sauces. Together, the companies add the perfect mix of sweet and spicy to their cooperative workspace.

“The support from the Pefferlaw community has been incredible. People here support you, even if they couldn’t. They’re just great and so proud of where they live and love to see it displayed on the labels. Someone came in and bought chocolate just to hand it out to people in town to help spread the word,” said co-owner Jean Templeman.
