Town accepting applications for early 2023 events that will have an economic impact
Are you planning an event taking place late winter through spring 2023 that will have an impact on our community? The Town’s Economic Development and Community Betterment Grants could help to support your efforts. Eligible applicants could receive up to 50 per cent of their total eligible expenses, up to a maximum of $5,000. Learn more and apply online before the first intake deadline on Jan. 27, 2023.

In 2022, 19 grant recipients, including the Georgina Studio Tour, Georgina Marathon and Half Marathon and Military Day, received funding and support.
Professional headshot opportunity
Are you a business owner or professional needing an updated headshot? Join us at the Georgina YSpace Entrepreneurship Hub on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a professional headshot captured by professional photographer and YSpace participant Maureen McDermott. Winter tourism guide showcases why Georgina is a year-round destination
While Georgina may be known for its summer recreation on the shores of Lake Simcoe, it may be even better known for its winter activities on and off the ice. The Town's winter guide showcases all of the winter experiences the Town has to offer and is known for.

Georgina celebrates businesses with Mayor and Council's Milestone Awards
Since 2016, the Town has celebrated businesses and their families that have operated in Georgina for generations with the Mayor and Council’s Milestone Awards. This year, we celebrated nine businesses that have operated for more than 20 years at a gala in Sutton alongside the Georgina Chamber of Commerce’s Business Excellence Awards. Learn about the people and families behind these businesses, their history and the impact they’ve made. 
Digital Skills for Business Program coming soon
Digital Skills for Business is a free-of-charge educational workshop series that focuses on creating a presence for your business online. This series will cover topics like social media, digital marketing, e-commerce, and using tools like Facebook Meta, Google Ads and Google Analytics. It will also include two practical drop-in application workshops and peer-to-peer in-person sessions.
