200-acre business park breaks ground in Georgina
Exciting news for Georgina! The Town’s business park is one step closer to becoming a reality. Panattoni Development Company has broken ground on its newest business park at the northeast corner of Woodbine Avenue and Glenwoods Avenue in the Town of Georgina. It is one of the largest business park developments within a one-hour drive from major urban centres in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and the largest development in Georgina’s history.
Discover why small businesses chose and continue to choose Georgina
Owning and operating a small business involves passion and a great deal of hard work. When choosing to start or expand a business, you want to ensure you’ve chosen a place where you feel supported by your community, where you see opportunity and growth to ensure long-term success, and where you can relax and enjoy where you live with a balanced work/life lifestyle.

The Town of Georgina is proving it can provide an ecosystem to support entrepreneurs. This ecosystem, together with a blend of urban and rural landscapes, creates an appealing lifestyle. An established business owner, a new-to-Georgina business owner and a YSpace Entrepreneurship Hub participant tell us why they chose and continue to choose Georgina to reach their small business goals.
This past summer, Georgina continued its partnership with York University's YSpace to provide business skills training and support to local entrepreneurs. Two programs were launched: Idea Consultations, an ongoing program involving free consultation with experts, and Business Foundations, an eight-week series of educational workshops. Combined, the programs have supported more than 250 new and established entrepreneurs.

The Town's physical business/incubator space at 1 Market St. in Sutton also opened this summer. It serves as a place for participants to utilize resources and space to grow their businesses.
