2020 was an unprecedented year where we all embraced the "pivot" to communicate and maintain operations. Submit your business to be included in the Town's new online directory
To highlight the many makers, growers and manufacturers of products made in Georgina, the Town is creating an online directory that will provide an additional platform for businesses to feature their products, giving more ways for residents and businesses to shop and support local. It also aims to foster an environment of collaboration between businesses as it will feature retailers who sell Georgina Made products.
If you make products in Georgina or sell products made locally, submit your business to the directory. Before the directory launches this summer, you will receive a login to update your information and add photos.
For more information or application assistance, email ed@georgina.ca or call 905-476-4301.

Supporting local dining establishments
In 2020, nine food establishments throughout the Town were able to expand their outdoor dining through the Temporary Patio Program to assist with recovery. With Council's approval to extend the program until the end of 2021, businesses will be able to continue with recovery efforts, and residents can continue to further support and enjoy them.
Dining establishments within one of the three Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) in Jackson's Point, Keswick and Sutton can also apply for the Patio Grant Program. Eligible businesses can receive a maximum of 50 per cent up to $2,000 towards the cost of their temporary patio construction.
If you are a Georgina food establishment interested in the program, you can learn more and apply (no charge) online at georgina.ca/patio.
Now is the time to submit your application to be ready for when indoor and outdoor dining restrictions are lifted.

New local subscription box brings awareness to small businesses
The Georgina Small Business Collective is a new bi-monthly subscription box service that delivers products from local businesses to your doorstep. Every box is reusable and biodegradable, and contains a collection of local products to enjoy.
The business was created by Christopher Campbell, who is also the owner of Hiveshare, a local apiary program for people to enjoy unique, local, unpasteurized, artisanal honey.
Chris is passionate about supporting local business owners and proud to live in Georgina. His passion inspired him to start the subscription box service because he wanted to create a platform for customers to explore new products and services available in Georgina.
