Georgina's development incentive program updated to support larger development
Georgina’s Development Application Fee Rebate program's new three-tier system will help support larger developments by providing an increased financial rebate based on square footage built and the number of full-time positions created.

The program update comes shortly after the Town shared news that Panattoni Development Company had purchased the northerly 200 acres of Georgina’s designated business park and is actively moving forward with plans to develop and market the site.
Patio program supports local restaurants
In 2020, nine food establishments across the municipality were able to expand their outdoor dining through the Temporary Patio Program to assist with recovery. With Council recently approving the program's extension until the end of 2021, businesses will be able to continue with recovery efforts, and residents can continue to further support and enjoy them.

Council also approved a new stream to the COVID-19 Community Improvement Plan Program that supports Business Improvement Area businesses. The new Patio Grant Program will help restaurants with the funding required to establish or enhance outdoor dining areas.

All restaurants interested in the Temporary Patio Program for 2021 are required to submit a new application.
New Banner Program to add local art to Georgina's downtown areas
Art students, artists and designers in the Town of Georgina are invited to submit proposals to design street banners that will be displayed in Georgina's downtown areas this summer/fall. The new Banner Program will showcase local artists' talents and reflect the culture, heritage, vibrancy, and creativity of our town.

The successful six designs selected will receive an honorarium of $150 and their submissions will be promoted on the Town's website.
