Red Angus photo contest now open

The Red Angus Association of America is soliciting entries for the 2024 RAAA Photo Contest. The contest will run through March 31. Photos must be submitted through this form and fit one of the following categories:

Winter
Fall
Summer
Spring
Bulls
Females
Cow/Calf
Calves
General Ranch Life
FCCP or Allied Access tagged
Juniors in Action

A $100 cash prize will be awarded to each category winner and the grand prize winner will receive $500! The photo contest is open to Red Angus enthusiasts of all ages. Entries from non-members and members alike are welcome and there is no limit to the number of photo entries per person. All entries must include a minimum of one Red Angus animal.

Red Angus Youth Expo Junior Online Fundraiser

The Red Angus Youth Expo Junior Online Fundraiser closes today, January 3, 2024 at 7 pm CST. The sale is hosted on SC Online Sales. The following is a review of last week's cattle market.

Live cattle futures had mixed results to conclude the holiday week of trade. December contracts closed at $173.67, while February futures closed at $168.50. Cash trade did see slight increases during the holiday week. Southern trade was up $1, closing at $172. Northern trade was up $2-$3 at $172-$173.
