Your Questions, CEO's Answers

You asked the following questions. Read our Q&A one-pager to get the answers.

  • Will HFHT employees be given more opportunity in future to apply to leadership roles i.e., manager, coordinator, etc. Historically, these roles have been filled without posting the opportunity first.

  • With rampant inflation, and the provincial and federal government increasing funding to health care, are there any plans in giving employees of the HFHT a Cost-Of-Living Allowance (COLA)?

  • Who is defined as a "health care worker" in the new "As of Right" rules that allow health care workers registered in other provinces and territories to immediately start working and caring for patients?

EDI/AR Update

  • April 4 is Refugee Rights Day.in Canada.
  • April 12 is the International Day of Pink.
  • People who are LGTBQ2SI+ or are labelled as Refugees frequently face discrimination. We must work together to uncover and change systemic discrimination in our health system. Do this through self-education and continued support from HFHT. Need guidance? Talk to your manager
