That's why you are an ideal pick to help spread the word about adult education, and the perfect opportunity is coming up. Adult Education Week is April 8-12. During this week, you can help bring awareness to adult education and its life-changing potential by sharing with your community what it is, the types of classes you offer and how it benefits the community.

Student testimonials drive the message home, so now is the right time to start identifying those students who have been able to reach their goals through adult education, whether the goal was to earn their GED and learn a career skill or complete their high school education so they could enroll in community college. Be ready to tell their stories - if they are open to that - to show the power of adult education.

The Labor and Workforce Development Agency, California Workforce Development Board and the Employment Development Department are pleased to announce the availability of up to $1.2 million in Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding for English Language Learner (ELL) co-enrollment pilots.

The funds will support projects that increase access for target populations, align WIOA programs, implement co-enrollment strategies, leverage other program funding and provide supportive services for California’s English Language Learner (ELL) population. An additional $500,000 is available for services to provide coordinated technical assistance and evaluation.
