We are so grateful to all our friends for your tremendous support during the past several months. Our #GivingTuesdayNow campaign was very successful, raising nearly $20,000 to support our mission. We have also received many other generous donations and have had more donors sign up for our monthly giving program .

When I reflect on this outpouring of support, I realize the phrase "We are all in this together" has never been more true than it is today.

As you already know, as a result of the pandemic The Jillian Fund enhanced its support of families receiving care at our partner hospital, the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital. To support families facing job loss, furloughs, hospitalizations and, in some cases, death of family members, we donated $20,000 in Visa, Shoprite and Walmart giftcards that were distributed to 120 families in a six-week period. This allowed families to purchase food, medication, toiletries, cleaning supplies, masks, durable medical equipment, and other day-to-day necessities.

Thanks to a grant we received from the Northern New Jersey Community Foundation's COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund, we were able to provide another $4000 in gift cards that are now being distributed to families in need.

In addition to this emergency aid, The Jillian Fund is continuing to support families of children with serious illnesses by ensuring that mortgages, rent payments and utility bills are paid so that parents have one less worry and can focus on what matters most: ensuring their child gets the love, care and attention they need while facing an illness no child should have to endure.

Our Chief Ambassador George Gorman, Jillian's dad, shares below his heartfelt thanks for all that you have enabled us to do. I hope you take a moment to watch his message.

With gratitude,

Bill McLaughlin
Chairman, The Jillian Fund
Special thanks ....
We want to take a moment to recognize the many organizations who have supported The Jillian Fund in recent weeks:
  • Thank you to the Northern New Jersey Community Foundation and Investors Foundation for providing grant funding to support our efforts.
  • Thank you to Clover Imaging, which will donate 25 percent of the collection value of empty inkjet and toner cartridges collected from now until October 31. More information available here.
  • We are also grateful to the social work team, pictured above, at the Children's Hospital, who go above and beyond every day to support Jillian Fund families on their journeys.

And finally, a huge shout out to the generous members of The Patriot Pack, who have ridden cross country for several years to raise awareness of The Jillian Fund as well as the plight of fallen and missing members of the military. This year's May ride could not take place as planned; read more about their abbreviated ride. We look forward to reporting on their adventures next year.
