Keep In Touch with Technology Transfer
The Technology Transfer Office is fully operational (from the comfort of our homes, of course!). We are still accepting invention disclosures, and we are continuing to work on patenting and protecting your intellectual property and developing opportunities for strategic alliances and new ventures.

We are also managing material transfer and non-disclosure agreements, monitoring and enforcing existing license agreements, and helping OSP with industry-sponsored research.
This is a great time to review your research portfolio and consider strategies for harvesting intellectual property and sowing the seeds for partnerships that could have impact.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to send us an email at technology.transfer@dartmouth.edu.

The CARES Act and Dartmouth Patents

The United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) has announced that they will allow 30 day extensions for delays caused by COVID-19 on certain patent and trademark deadlines that fall on/between March 27, 2020 and April 30, 2020.

We are closely following changes in the USPTO and are making sure that we fully understand any potential impacts on Dartmouth intellectual property and patents. If you have specific questions about your research portfolio, please send us an email.

Dartmouth Technology Innovation and Commercialization Award
The Dartmouth Office of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer (OETT) Technology Innovation and Commercialization Award highlights individuals who, through their inventive and entrepreneurial talents, have made strong contributions to Dartmouth and society. The award enables us to recognize deserving innovators and inventors in the Dartmouth community. Up to three (3) awardees will be recognized during the academic year cycle.
Please consider nominating (or re-nominating) a faculty or staff colleague so we can celebrate their success! Last year, the awardees were Prof. Laura Ray and Prof. Stuart Trembly. Aside from last year’s awardees, nominations are open to all Dartmouth faculty and staff.
The nomination due date for this year’s awards has been extended to Friday, May 1, 2020. Selected awardees will be recognized at the Dartmouth Entrepreneurs Forum in San Francisco in mid September.
