AUGUST 12TH, 2020

"I want to make as many people as possible feel like they are part of this adventure. We are going to give everybody a sense of what exploring the surface of another world is really like"

-Steve Squyres
Researcher in planetary sciences
I understand we are not exploring another world like our pal, Steve.

OR...ARE WE?

Doesn't it sometimes feel like we stepped into another dimension? And now we are left to traverse this alternate reality, together! Birthed from this exploration of "new" came this blog-like newsletter (that's right, blame COVID). When given the opportunity to share 350+ words of what some may consider encouragement, others may call dribble, it's an interesting task to manage. I have to imagine that I am not the only one who would appreciate the opportunity to leverage a local platform to share ideas and lift up their neighbor and community through written word.

So here it goes, what do you have to say? What would you share? This is your invitation to be part of our exploration and help uncover new terrain. Dig deep and delve into your own inquisitive nature and think about what brings joy or provides comfort. What keeps you moving forward? Once there, share with us in 200 words or less, an idea, or a thought, maybe it's a question, or a story that you think adds value. Cause the truth of the matter is, I can be fully engaged in a one-on-one conversation with myself...but I'd love for you to join in!
Whether or not you choose to be anonymous or you want to take ownership of your words, I applaud you for sharing. Well done. We can stand in one place wishing for greener pastures, or we can stand together and build up what some may say has been torn down. Let's write a new story with shared words and dreams and sense of discovery for what we hope to find: a new world.

Oh, and don't mind me, I'll just be the girl staring at an inbox waiting for an email. It's cool.
Keep smiling, keep sanitizing, and stay safe!
