OMNI History

OMNI was formed in April 1994 in Tampa, Florida by seven partners. Laurie August was an original partner and editor of the first OMNI Tell's All in September of 1994. Laurie August passed away in September of this year. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. Below are some pictures of Laurie and OMNI's original partners.

Satellites are Changing the World We Live In

In communications, low level satellites are allowing true global communications. Rural communities and mobile applications are being transformed before our eyes. Look for us to add Starlink Satellites to our SDWAN solution in 2023.

During disasters, the ability to communicate when everything else is down is key. Space X donated 100 large Starlink units in the aftermath of hurricane Ian! Each unit has a radius of 13 miles and can support 1,000 users at any given time.

During war communication is everything. Elon Musk has donated Starlink units to the freedom fighters in Ukraine. This gives the Ukranians access to the internet and communications when everything else is down.

Feet On The Street

For those of you who need access to "Professional Feet On The Street", we have Core-Techs. OMNI has used them nationwide for such projects as installing 5G equipment for ATT cell towers, SDWAN networks and PIAB (Pots In A Box). Darren Maxwell is our Channel Manager and recently got back from Africa!

Longest Urban Whitewater Rafting Course

Columbus, Georgia is home to the longest urban whitewater rafting course. It hosted the 2022 Freestyle World Cup Competition (see picture), and will host the 2023 World Championship in Kayaking. Columbus, Georgia is also home of OMNI Solutions.
